New Product: OPTIPACT-M1

OPTIPACT-M1
The M1 is INTACTON’s new sensor out of the OPTIPACT product family. Although the appearance of OPTIPACT-M1 is similar to our COVIDIS-System, the method of measurement is the one that OPTIPACT S1 and F1 use: Travelled distance is determined by comparison of subsequent images. Measuring that way allows to do without high-performance camera and expensive electronic periphery – hence OPTIPACT-M1 is a cost-effective alternative to high-end sensors. Here are the most important attributes of OPTIPACT-M1:

Positioning of OPTIPACT-M1 at the market
There are several reasons why COVIDIS or similar products from competitors cannot be used for certain applications: In many cases the costs of purchase or too high, furthermore high-end sensors are – as the name implies – sensors for applications with very high demands relating to accuracy etc. In such cases we in fact have been able to offer OPTIPACT S1 or F1 as an alternative, but could not always reach customer’s demands in some points (e.g. higher working distance, extended telecentric range). Against this background there’s need to offer a “Mid-Range” sensor that – in technical aspects as well as in it’s price – lies between COVIDIS and OPTIPACT S1/F1.
